International Sports Engineering Association (ISEA), Student Representative
I am currently serving a two-year term as a student representaive on the executive comittee of the ISEA. I am a member of the outreach committee, focused on engaging the ISEA membership. I have also reviewed several “Engaging Sports Engineering” grant applications.
Purdue Materials Engineering Graduate Student Association (MSEGSA), Vice President ’26, Secretary ’25
As vice president this past academic year I have been heavily involved in developing programming for annual outreach events (see below). I was also responsible for organizing the 4th annual Materials at Purdue Symposium (M@PS), a single-day event for students from across Purdue departments to practice presenting their work to a broader audience.
Outreach Events
CREW Life Foundation, Fall 2025
Developed a series of workshops for elementary and middle school students from the greater Fort Wayne area connected to the 14 grand challenges for engineering. I was responsible for a session on water filtration.

Purdue Homecoming, Fall 2023-25

MSE graduate student association (MSEGSA) hosted a table making thermoset resin keychains. Game attendees learned about polymer chains and crosslinking.
Klondike Carnival, Spring 2024-26
The MSEGSA booth at the annual carnival at Klondike Elementary School allows students (aged 5-10yrs) to sand cast a Pewter medallion.

Purdue Space Day, Fall 2023-24
For 2024 Space Day, MSEGSA ran an activity explaining the activity of satellites around the globe. In 2023 MSEGSA taught students about solar sails prior to allowing them to make their own.
